Party Pop-Up Birthday

This card is another CASE.  See the original card on Dawn's Stamping Thoughts here.  The birthday cake sentiment is cut with a thinlit from the Party Pop-Up set.  The letters and candle flames have a little sparkle added with Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush - unfortunately it's very difficult to photograph and makes the letters look a bit blurry in this picture. The streamers are part of the second thinlit in the set.  The background DSP is from the Cherry on Top stack that is now retired.

A Sympathy Card

This is a card that I put together recently as a sympathy card (I stamped a 'thinking of you' sentiment inside) for a friend who had lost a relative very special to her.  I had coloured & assembled the image panel a while ago so am a bit sketchy on the colours I used so I'll go with 'pink & green'.  The blossoms are from a retired set called 'Indescribable Gift', the darker section of flowers is stamped on vellum and coloured with markers on the underside, then cut out and adhered to the larger image. The image is stamped on a newsprint DSP and slightly coloured using chalks (retired - you could use pastels or colour lightly with pencils for the same effect) and then outlined with a chalk marker (also retired but a white pencil could give a similar effect, maybe even your dressmaking chalk pencil if they still make those???).  The DSP is layered onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock and the card base is Very Vanilla.

I also made a square envelope using the envelope punch board to fit the card.

60th Birthday Card

Since we abandoned our long weekend plans to go camping due to rain, I have some time on my hands to post some of the cards I've made since my last update. This is a card that I made for my sister's birthday in April.  I can't claim any creative rights as it is basically a direct CASE of this card I found on Jan's Creative Corner, and it uses one of my favourite framelits sets (ever!) Botanical Builders.  I am happy to confirm that this set and coordinating stamps have carried over to the new 2016-2017 Stampin' Up Annual Catalogue.  Other supplies are listed below (the patterned vellum and black & white DSP are both retired).

New Annual Catalogue Time!

The new annual catalogue from Stampin' Up is here! So many fabulous new goodies.  To see them click the image below:

Apologies for my lack of posts lately!  I do have a couple of cards I need to post but I've been away (on a fabulous holiday :) ) and am back at work but have had some other projects on the go so unfortunately blogging has been neglected.  I promise to try harder!
